Sonja Wagensteen

Sonja has a dual role at Engelmeier & Umanah as a Receptionist and Legal Administrative Assistant. She has worked as a Legal Administrative Assistant in the areas of Estate Planning and Employment Law for the past 5 years. Prior to joining E&U, Sonja worked as a Legal Administrative Assistant at a private law office in Wayzata.

Sonja loves interacting with clients and creating a warm, welcoming environment at the firm. Sonja has a wealth of compassion and empathy towards the challenges and struggles clients and potential clients face. She assists with all mediations at the firm to help make sure they run as smoothly as possible. Sonja goes the extra mile to accommodate both clients' and staffs' needs. Her outgoing personality and "can-do" attitude make her an important part of the firm's successful operations.

Sonja attended the Julliard School in New York City, and received her B.A. in harp performance from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Sonja has performed with many orchestras, and has performed solo all around the world, including in Prague, Geneva, Toronto, Los Angeles and New York City. Sonja loves to play her harp and continues to perform throughout the Twin Cities.
