William J. Schroeder – Retired
Bill has practiced law in St. Cloud, Minnesota for the last 37 years, the last 20 years as a sole practitioner. He has always focused his practice in the areas of real estate, estate planning, probate and business. Prior to his legal career, Bill worked in the buying office of Target stores for 3 years.
Bill is a certified real estate specialist and serves as the Examiner of Titles for torrens real estate in Stearns and Benton Counties. His real estate practice includes everything from representing clients in the acquisition/sale of real estate to identifying and resolving title problems.
He assists clients in formulating their estate plans and understanding the appropriate documents, including wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, trusts, as well as the use of beneficiary designations to avoid probate. In addition to counseling clients in developing their estate plans, he also assists the family upon the client’s death to administer the estate or trust to ensure that the deceased’s plan is followed.
His practice also includes setting up business entities to include limited liability companies and corporations, the purchase and sale of businesses, and providing advice to small businesses.
He enjoys fishing, camping, gardening and playing with his grandson, Jack.
