Q

Notice re COVID-19

Hello clients, partners and friends,

With the recent progression of COVID-19, we want you to know how we are managing the situation to minimize the impact on our business and ultimately our clients.

OUR OFFICE IS PRESENTLY OPEN ONLY FOR ESSENTIAL SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS AND MEETINGS AND MAIL/PARCEL DELIVERIES.

WE DO ASK OF OUR CLIENTS AND VISITORS THAT YOU DO NOT COME TO E&U OFFICES IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN FEELING WELL AND ARE EXHIBITING SIGNS OF COVID-19, YOU HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN EXPOSED, OR IS SUSPECTED TO HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO COVID-19, YOU HAVE BEEN TRAVELING OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA OR YOU HAVE BEEN ON A CRUISE. We are considering taking forehead temperatures, while observing appropriate sanitary procedures, of all persons prior to entering the premises, including delivery personnel.

By Executive Order 20-33, Governor Tim Walz has ordered all Minnesotans to stay at home until 11:59 PM May 3, 2020. Only travel for essential services is permitted. Not all legal services are considered essential under Gov. Walz’ Order. Those legal services considered essential for travel, which E&U provides, include: end-of-life planning, essential services to elders and persons with disabilities, protection of personal financial resources necessary to meet basic needs, and other similar critical health and safety services.

E&U remains accessible to handle your important legal needs. Our operations will continue as close to “normal” as possible through telework or virtual work from our homes. At the same time, we will continue to schedule essential appointments or meetings at the office which cannot otherwise take place through remote options. We will cover essential office duties to ensure our clients and our staff are taken care of.

If you have a scheduled meeting, or would like to schedule a meeting, and you would like to discuss possible options for that meeting (e.g., meeting electronically, instead of in person) please reach out to someone at E&U.

We are working to keep all safe while continuing to operate during this evolving situation. We will keep you informed as things develop and if we anticipate any substantive changes to our business operations.
